This event happens every week and it is gaining popularity every time. It has been moved from it’s normal Monday slot to a very early Saturday morning. This is due to the lack of light during winter. It’ll return to Mondays in summer.
It’s a well organized and timed event. The real athletes can race off into the distance whilst others can simply walk. Kids are welcome to join in the fitness fun and lots of parents bring their strollers along. This is a great family event plus it’s FREE.
To join you simply register online at www.ggc5k.com and rock up before the shotgun start. If you want more information to have a look at our blog post about the event.
UPDATE: It would appear there is some confusion about when the run is happening. It might be back to Mondays. It’s best to get in contact with them.
If you know of a family friendly event that we have missed out, please let us know. We’re only as strong as our community. Thanks for reading and we hope you have a fun-filled month.
