The Chalkboard is a versatile space that provides a comfortable environment for people to get together for education, exposure, growth, exercise, business, and/or socially.
It came about after many discussions between friends, who wanted to make a difference. They provide opportunities for people and organizations to connect and be part of a passionate and positive environment, where both individuals and groups can grow and develop.
Charities at The Chalkboard
The Chalkboard also provides charities with a home where they can connect and network with other organizations with common goals. This space allows them to share ideas and fundraise together. Therefore, enabling them to make a bigger impact on our community than they would if they were acting alone.
Some organizations making use of the space include Autism Botswana, Down Syndrome Association Botswana, Re A Bua, and Clouded Yellow.
Other Activities
The Chalkboard also hosts different types of activities and these are for both adults and children. Some are educational, some fun, and some food for the soul. They include the following:
- Rent an office/desk space
- Enjoy a coffee morning
- Celebrate a baby shower
- Attend swimming lessons
- Learn Setswana
- Have a meeting/seminar
- Host an event
- Host a book club
- Tutoring
- Have cake decorating workshops
- Host a yoga class
