International Shotokan Karate Federation has a Karate Academy at Botswana Karate Association Hall in Gaborone and Chododo Choka Hall in Francistown, for children over the age of 4 years, and adults that wish to start learning Karate.
Karate training is for everyone, men, women, and children included. Practice is adapted to suit an individual’s own pace, gradually building their body and developing their technical skills. Anyone from ages 5 to 70 years is welcome.
Karate-do holds, among other things certain virtues as most important: Loyalty, faith in friendship, respect for elders and respect for hierarchy. Training aims to develop moral character.
The ultimate aim of the art of karate lies not in victory or defeat, but in the perfection of the character of its participants.
