At Jack and Jill, we love to learn and learn to love. We strive to be an inspirational, creative and safe space for children. At our nursery, every little being is loved and valued. We want our children to develop to their full potential. We are an English Medium Pre-School that focuses on play and theme based learning.

Our History

Jack and Jill was established in 1981 and we have been owner run and managed by our current headmistress Iris Riggs since 1990. She has developed it to the flourishing school it is today.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is a mixture of Cambridge PYP, Learn though play and Montessori. As well as the governmental requirements.

Our Classes

Group 1: The Bush Babies

Group 3: Busy Bees

In the Busy Bees class, the 3-year-old is a fun jumble of creativity, stubbornness, intelligence, independence, and laughter. Every day is an adventure. They’re communicating with more ease now and we continue to develop this with drama, circle time and singing.

Group 4: Dancing Ducklings

This age group is full of curiosity and gaining a lot of confidence in all their developments. Physically they can now throw, catch and kick a ball, climb well, ride a tricycle, run and confidently hop on 1 foot. We challenge the Dancing Ducklings with gross motor activities every day.

Group 5: Clever Cats

It’s this year we prepare for our school readiness assessment. We also use theme-based units which provide a vehicle for teaching a range of skills and content. We do this by integrating curriculum areas around a topics
