A Point of Interest
There is a rock wall and genuine refurbished wagon at the entrance. They are there to remember hunters, missionaries, photographers and explorers of the past. So a stop there to reflect on the past is well worth the time.
Animals and Habitat
There is a variety of bird species. You could hear the grunting series of hoots of the Giant Eagle Owl or the enchanting shrill call of the Woodlands Kingfisher (after whom they are named). You might even hear the fluted notes of the elusive Crimson Breasted Shrike. So it’s basically a birders paradise.
Woodlands Stop Over and Lodge is well worth a visit.
