Kids Fun Day at African Home | FREE ENTRY

Kids Fun Day at African Home is happening on Saturday, 26 September 2026 at African Home Hotel, Plot 5345 Nyerere Drive, Gaborone. Families are invited to come along for a fun day of play, food and entertainment.
Children can enjoy free jumping castles, while face painting will be available at an additional cost. Families can also look forward to food and treats, with restaurant, bar and vendor options available on the day.
Entry is free, making it an easy family outing to add to your Independence weekend plans.
Kgale View Night Market Bots60 Edition

The Kgale View Market Bots60 Edition will take place over two days as part of Botswana’s 60th Independence celebrations, offering families one ticket for two market experiences. The Night Market will be held on Saturday, 26 September 2026, from 4:00pm to 10:00pm at Game City Upper Parkade, bringing together food, family and community in a lively evening setting.
The celebration continues with the Kgale View Day Market 60th Edition on Sunday, 27 September 2026, from 9:00am to 5:00pm at the 3 Dikgosi Chief Monument, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Tourism. Tickets are P15 online and P20 at the gate, with children under 12 entering free.
Shavathon 2026 with Boba Bubble

Northside Primary School Shavathon 2026 will be taking place on Saturday, 26 September 2026, from 10:00am to 3:00pm. The event will include children’s activities, with Boba Bubble popping up to serve mocktails and bubble tea. Entrance is P20, which includes children’s activities. This is a simple and fun family-friendly outing for those looking to support the school event while enjoying refreshing drinks and a relaxed community atmosphere.
Urban_arts_by_W September Creative Workshops

Families can look forward to a relaxed day of fun, food and community, with activities for children and plenty of space to enjoy time together. Swimming will also be available at P30.
The Crafter’s Nook Creative Workshops

Bedazzle a Canvas by The Crafter’s Nook by Rizka is a creative activity for children aged 4 years and above, with teens also welcome to join. Participants will get to choose a picture and decorate it with sparkling embellishments to create their own canvas masterpiece.

Palapye Karate Championship 2026

The Palapye Karate Championship 2026 is happening on Saturday, 26 September 2026 at BIUST in Palapye. The event brings together young karate athletes for a day of discipline, focus, confidence and community through sport.
With the message “Karate for a Better Tomorrow,” the championship is a great outing for families who want to support children in sport and enjoy an inspiring martial arts event.
Hoop Warriors Basketball Schedule
Hoop Warriors is back for Term 3 2026, offering children another term of basketball, movement, teamwork and skill-building. The programme is focused on helping young players play, learn and grow together, while building confidence, discipline and a love for the game.
The Term 3 schedule includes sessions on Tuesdays at Westwood from 2:30pm to 4:00pm, Thursdays at Broadhurst from 3:30pm to 5:00pm, and Saturdays at Enko from 8:30am to 11:30am.
Basil Sports Thee Hockey Academy & Mini Hockey
Basil Sports is offering its Term 3 Hockey Academy programme at Northside Primary School, giving children a chance to learn hockey skills, stay active and build confidence through sport.
The programme is open to children aged 4 to 14 years, with a dedicated Mini Hockey option for children aged 4 to 8 years. Term 3 runs from 12 September to 21 November 2026, with sessions taking place once a week for 10 weeks. Spaces are limited, with only 10 players per session.
