The gift season has officially begun. What’s super exciting is that local businesses have bloomed throughout the course of 2020. We found a couple of young entrepreneurs who didn’t want to be left behind.
Here’s a short, inspiring introduction to some local businesses we have discovered. And how these can be your go-to for creative Christmas gift ideas.
Zippy Slime
Oops! Snap drizzle and pop – there’s a world of slime waiting. It’s colourful, it’s sparkly and it’s definitely gooey.

Zippy Slime started out with a little bright-eyed 6-year-old, Zipporah Atarah Babbage, watching YouTube. She was instantly fascinated by slime and decided she needed to learn how to make it herself.
The journey began with lots of plops, drops and literal flops – the right glue was needed, Sunlight liquid soap didn’t last a day, contact lens solution – it was all a world of crazy to an enthusiastic 6-year-old.
Zipporah remained diligent and persevered until finally a world of exciting fun was born out of the gooey goodness now known as Zippy Slime.
The little cupcake of laughter and bright eyes now had a winning formula. A never fail, snap, drizzle and pop slime.
How Zippy Slime Became A Business

The pull, stretch and calming effect of perfect slime couldn’t remain hidden in the closet. Zippy decided that she had to share the perfect slime with her friends and classmates. Before she knew it, her passion grew into slime workshops, slime parties and a brightly coloured brand, that brings smiles and laughter to kids everywhere.
Zippy is now 7, knocking on the door of 8. In a short time, she’s grown into an astute business kid who wants to spread her passion and joy through slime. And inspires her friends to start their own fun businesses in the homes.
Watch out for more adventures from Zippy Slime this Chrismas, it’s cloudy with a chance of slime.
